Janet Eng, DO FACEP
Biography and Philosophy of Care
Dr. Eng has been practicing emergency medicine for over three decades. She is boarded in emergency medicine and fellowship trained in medical toxicology. She wants to help patients in a different way and transitioned her practice to functional medicine as she continues to help patients with their journey toward better health. When she initially started her functional medicine practice, she focused on helping patients with their nutritional health by modifying diet and activity and using supplements when needed. After a time, she realized that some patients were not feeling much better despite improving their diets and trying supplementation. She compared this to the concept of adding premium fuel to a car with a broken down engine which will not make it run better. Dr. Eng has since added different treatments to help the body function better and improve its engine.
Dr. Eng has received further training through the Institute for Functional Medicine, the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, Frequency Specific Microcurrent, and The Health Institute. Her interests include wellness for patients of all ages, sports medicine and recovery, and the bioenergetics of health.
