VO2 Max Testing
VO2 Max testing or maximal oxygen uptake test measures the amount of oxygen your body and consume and convert to oxygen during intense exercise.
Who is this test for?
This test is for anyone who wants to have a better understanding of their cardiovascular health. The person should be 18+ years of age.
How is VO2 Max performed?
The athlete will go through a protocol using a treadmill or bike to measure VO2 Max.
How do I prepare for this test?
Please discuss with your physician first to see if you have any health conditions that would prevent further testing.
Do not exercise during the 24 hour period prior to testing.
Please hydrate adequately and do not eat a heavy meal 2-3 hours prior to testing.
Wear clothing and shoes you would normally wear for exercise.
